Weekend with an eye on the Competition

The Greens will perform this weekend in El Prat and Vilafranca and do not rule out 3d10fm

 

 

 

The Castellers de Vilafranca are already thinking about the Tarragona Castles Competition, which will be held next Sunday, October 2. Before that, however, this weekend they have a double date with Castellera and, above all, a very important rehearsal on Friday. From Friday, all rehearsals become special, bearing in mind that there are 10 days left for the Competition. Therefore, Friday's game is key to being able to revalidate the title and the Castellers de Vilafranca ask everyone to attend. On the other hand, on Saturday afternoon, the Greens will perform in the Prat, in a day where the castells of 9 floors will be used to consolidate the trunks.

 

On Sunday at noon, Castellers de Vilafranca will perform in the capital of Alt Penedès together with Moixiganguers d'Igualda and La Jove de Sitges. On this day, the Greens consider trying the 3d10fm again if they are enough castellers. So they don't rule out making the fifth 3d10fm attempt of the season. The performance will serve to celebrate Sant Miquel (patron of the group) and will begin at twelve noon in Plaça Constitució. At the end of the day, the Castellers de Vilafranca will once again organize the Vermut Round, in Cal Figarot, with the invited gangs and with the collaboration of Vermuts Miró.

 

Precisely for Saint Michael's Day, Thursday 29 September, the Castellers de Vilafranca have organized a series of activities around the celebration. The day will begin at seven in the afternoon with a performance at the Inglada Via residence, which is celebrating its centenary. Then, from 8 o'clock, there will be the patronal mass in the Basilica of Santa Maria and, subsequently, at 9 o'clock in the evening, the mountaineer Ferran Latorre (a sympathizer of the Vilafranca gang) will give a talk at the VINSEUM open to everyone who wish it At the end, there will be a pica-pica at Cal Figarot.

 

The leader of the Greens, Toni Bach, and the president, Joan Badell, have remarked on the importance of these last rehearsals before the Competition and also of the previous performances. They ask for everyone's involvement to "achieve one of the most equal and spectacular Competitions in history".
