Castellers de Vilafranca will once again organize four musical improvisation sessions at their social headquarters

The Castellers de Vilafranca intend to energize their headquarters during the days when there is no castle activity (mainly Tuesdays and Thursdays). So, they are once again presenting the fortnightly series of four small concerts at the Cal Figarot bar. Under the name “MusiCal Figarot” is a space for musical creativity in which, based on a traditional instrumental base, there will be room for improvisation open to anyone who spontaneously wishes. Therefore, they are participative 'Jam Sessions' of traditional music and with a laid-back and relaxed atmosphere that will allow you to enjoy good music while dining at Cal Figarot.

 

"MusiCal Figarot" will be held on Thursdays at ten in the evening, every fortnight, from April 27 and until June 8 at the bar of the Castellers headquarters in Vilafranca. The first session will be this Thursday and will be performed by Marcel Casellas (double bass), Oriol Pidelaserra (keyboard) and Roger Martínez (sax).

 

The origin of this activity can be found in the Traditional Artisan Center of Gràcia now about 20 years ago. Currently, these meeting points are also held in different Catalan cities: Sant Cugat del Vallès, some places in Barcelona, Esplugues de Llobregat, etc.
