Castellers de Vilafranca have Cal Figarot as their headquarters. A historic building in the center of the town, where in addition to erecting castells, we also do all kinds of social activities, not only aimed at the castellers of the gang, but also for all the fans, sympathizers, residents of Vilafranca and Penedes.
Throughout the year we carry out a series of activities so that the castellers can spend some pleasant time with their colleagues without the stress and demands of rehearsals and at the same time, open Cal Figarot to our residents and fans so that they can enjoy it together with us
Some of these activities are well known to everyone, as we carry them out year after year, such as the Calçotada Verda, the Pan Competition or the Green Pedal. But there are also others that have joined in recent years, such as Tasting de Vins or Cinema a la Fresca. The latter is born from the spirit of collaboration with other entities in the town, in order to have a wider offer and at the same time make the Castellera family bigger.
Below we give you a summary of all the activities we do, both in our premises and outside:
Visit of the Kings of the East, Calçotada Verda, Wine Tasting, Veterans' Breakfast, Paella Contest, Gang Dinners, Soca-rel Castellers Dinner, Cinema a la Fresca, Figatronic, Casteller Christening, Veterans' Snack, Green Pedal , Popular Walks, Sports Tournaments, Musical Concerts, Trips Abroad and the Sopar de la Colla.
Green tights
It is one of the oldest social activities, the first edition was in 1989. The calçotada verda has its beginnings in a private activity of a group of people from the gang who were in Cal Sègol to do the calçotada. After a few years, the calçotada became an activity specific to the gang and open to everyone.
Pan competition
Held since 1996, the pan competition is one of the most successful and most anticipated social activities.
Outdoor cinema
Activity organized jointly with Cineclub Vilafranca, for 3 Thursdays in July, the magnificent courtyard of Cal Figarot becomes a summer cinema, where you can enjoy the seventh art while having a drink or dinner.
Green pedaling
Heir of the Correverdura (disguised bicycle race), the green pedal is an activity that welcomes an eminently family audience.
It usually coincides with Sustainable Mobility Week and usually gathers around 500 cyclists.
