The people from Vilafranca completed the 3d9fa (a castle that no one had ever done in Valls) and the Td9fm, the first Gamma Extra of the year
Castellers de Vilafranca performed this Saturday in Valls for the first time in their history. Invited by the Colla Joves Xiquets de Valls, the Castellers de Vilafranca left their mark on the Pati day. The people from Vilafranca downloaded the first two castells of Gamma Extra of the season. In the first round, they completed the earliest 3d9fa in history and the first to be downloaded in Valls. No gang had ever completed it before in the capital of the High Camp. The goals of Castellers de Vilafranca, who wanted to take advantage of the historic opportunity to play in Valls, were very high and, after the unprecedented 3d9fa, they faced Td9fm in the second round. Despite a lot of work, the Castellers de Vilafranca unloaded this other Gamma Extra castle, thus achieving the two main challenges that had been set for Saturday. Castellers de Vilafranca also unloaded the 4d9f and loaded the 7 pillar with lining. The Colla Joves Xiquets de Valls, the Nens del Vendrell, the Moixiganguers of Igualada and the Castellers of Barcelona also took part in the day.
In addition, on Friday, during the General Rehearsal, the Greens performed in Tivoli Park, where they unloaded the 3d8a, the 3d9f, the Td8f and three pillars of 5. They also inaugurated a commemorative plaque of the 3d9f unloaded in Park the previous year and they delivered a photo with this castle to the Association of Residents of Poble Nou.
Next week, the Castellers de Vilafranca will perform on Saturday evening at the Nit dels Xarel·los, right in front of the Church of Sant Francesc. The intention of the Greens is to bring, as a minimum, a castle of 9, and continue working on the knobs above.
As always, this week's rehearsals will be Monday (8:00 p.m.), Wednesday (8:30 p.m.) and Friday (9:30 p.m.).
