The Castellers de Vilafranca are once again organizing the al fresco cinema cycle in the Cal Figarot patio, with the collaboration of the Cine Club and, this year, as a novelty, with the Penedès Denomination of Origin. This will be the ninth year that the Castellers de Vilafranca organize the outdoor cinema series in the gardens of Cal Figarot. This year three films will be shown: “Mr. Henri comparte piso", "Mi panadería en Brooklyn" and Manual de un tacaño". The sessions will be held for three Thursdays in July, starting on the 6th, at 10:15pm and access will be free for everyone.

As a novelty this year, and the result of the collaboration agreement between the Greens and the DO Penedès, during the screenings of the films it will be possible to taste a glass of wine from the region. In addition, you can also have dinner on the Figarot terrace while watching the film.

Cal Figarot's al fresco cinema series will feature three screenings. Below we give you more details of the selected films.

A miser's manual

A look at "L'Avar" by Molière

Thursday, July 20, at 10:15 p.m

Original title: Radin!

Address: Fred Cavayé

script: Nicolas Cuche and Lauren Turner.

Performers: Dany Boon, Laurence Arné, Noémie Schmidt, Patrick Ridremont.

comedy FRANCE, 2016. 89'. Projection in dubbed version.

French comedian Dany Boon stars as a violinist in a local orchestra who is extremely clingy, something he must cover up when someone falls in love with him and at the same time discovers that he has a teenage daughter.

The strength of this actor creates a character that is a perfect reflection of these times of consumerism.

The director of the film makes a good debut in comedy, achieving number 1 in his country, after three thrillers.

Cavayé does not hide its status as an update (in form, but not in substance) of Molière's immortal classical play "L'avar".
