Castellers de Vilafranca will perform this Saturday evening in front of the Church of Sant Francesc. The performance will be part of the Night of the Xarel·los and will be solo, no other group will participate. The Castellers de Vilafranca will start doing their castells from 8 in the evening and they intend to bring, at least, a 9-storey castle. Probably the 3d9f. The performance of the Greens at the Night of the Xarel·los is one of the first fruits of the agreement between the Denomination of Origin Penedès and the Vilafranca gang who will continue to collaborate in the coming months.
The Castellers de Vilafranca are coming from a great performance last Saturday in Valls, where they unloaded the first two castells of the Extra Range of the year and, after this Saturday's performance, they will not perform again until the first week of July in Barberà del Vallès. It is for this reason that the team leader of the Castellers de Vilafranca, Toni Bach, considers that this Saturday evening is a very important day in order not to lose the rhythm of the season: "we cannot afford the luxury of having two weekends in June without performing", he explained.
