The El Foix high school became the winner of the castells competition between educational centers in the region

A thousand students from Alt Penedès took part this Saturday in the ninth edition of the Joverd, the castells competition between educational centers in the region. This year's winners were the castellers from the Foix Institute.

In this Joverd, marked by the change of location in front of Cal Figarot, a total of five institutes and schools participated. Castellers de Vilafranca will consider making the change of location permanent since, although it has been forced by the works being carried out at its headquarters, this edition has been much more dynamic than other years and, therefore , much better.

During Saturday morning, gangs raised castells like the 5 pillar with lining, the 3d5 raised underneath, or even the 3d5 with the needle, among others.

Finally, the classification was as follows: El Foix Institute (1st), Grimpaires del Montagut (2nd), Tirallongues de l'Eugeni d'Ors (3rd), Colla Jove de Sant Elies (4th) and Arreplegats del Milà (5th) .

The Colla Jove de Sant Elies won the Oriol Rossell Award for its constancy, persistence and enthusiasm throughout all the editions of the Joverd.
